She is a sweetie, but my dentist does estimate her age to be
around 20yo. (Although quite honestly she is quite energetic
for a 20yo!) She is sensible, but when under saddle would
need an intermediate rider. Although a beginner could
handle her on the ground with ease. She would make an
excellent therapy mount because she is quite wide, which
gives an excellent base of support for therapeutic students,
and extremely sensible when being led. My four-year-old
daughter enjoys riding her bareback while I lead, and the
mare has been wonderful. Occassionally we have ridden
double and she handles the weight without any problems.
She has no soundness problems and has four tough feet--and
is an easy keeper. |
