RERSI; A Small Organization with Big Dreams
Royal Equine Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. may be a small
nonprofit
501© 3 organization now, but we are continuously
expanding.
While the rescue and rehabilitation of horses remains
our
primary goal, we also strive to do much more. We believe
that
education will play a key role in reducing animal abuse
and neglect.
With that in mind we began our Sanctuary
Sponsorship Program.
In this edition of our newsletter, we hope to better
explain our
programs, services, and goals. Further information
about our
organization may be found on our website.
Thank you for your continued interest and support.

Sanctuary Sponsorship; Saving Horses
and Educating Humans
The Sanctuary was
instituted as a stepping stone for future
educational programs. The horses in the
program either
belong to, or are leased to RERSI, and will live out
their lives in our green pastures.
As a means to educate others about proper horse
management
and riding, sanctuary horses are available for
various levels
of sponsorship. We believe that by being able
to meet and work
with our sanctuary horses, others will gain
knowledge
about proper horsemanship.
The Sanctuary Sponsorship Program is great for
people who
are interested in learning more about the care and
management
of horses. Its also designed for people who would
like to own a horse, but are not quite ready.
Sanctuary Sponsorship is set up like a lease.
There are different levels to fit different people's
needs.
All levels include basic equine care education,
and monthly photos of your sponsored
horse.
The levels and monthly fees for Sponsorship are as
follows:
$25.00-Long Distance Sponsor
Monthly photographs and updates will be
sent to you about your sponsored horse.
$50.00-Grooming and Ground Work Sponsor
Allows four visits per month.
$75.00 - Four rides per month.
$100.00 - Six rides per month.
$125.00 - Eight rides per month.
$150.00 - Ten rides per month.
***Note in the event that rides are missed due to
weather or other problems,
we will gladly carry the rides over into future
months.***
The
levels in which the sponsor will be riding include
free novice lessons.
Advanced riders may have an approved trainer come to
the farm for
lessons at their own expense.
Sponsors may only visit and ride with an
appointment. Since we are run
out of a private facility we insist on supervision
for your safety, and for the
safety of our horses.
The sponsors must abide by facility rules for their
own safety
and for the horses safety. We expect that our horses
be treated
with kindness and respect. Failure to abide by
facility rules
will result in the loss of sponsorship privileges.
All sponsors are allowed to show their sponsored
horse
under the condition that the farm manager is
available to haul
to the show. We will work with sponsors to find show
dates that are convenient for everyone.
Our facility is equipped with a riding arena, a
large lighted
round pen, jumps, and acres of near by riding
trails.
The sponsor may use our tack, but is expected to
have
their own approved helmet and proper riding boots.
The sponsorship donation will go directly to helping
pay for
the care and maintenance of our rescued horses.
For more information, or for information about the
horses we
have available, please call or go to our website!
