On 2/11/2008 we
rescued this little two and a half
week old miracle.
"The Thoroughbred
stallion, or Mighty," as he has been
nicknamed,
has been a fighter from
the start. He was born a twin, and
amazingly he,
his sister, and his
dam all survived the birth.
However, survival of twins in horses is
not common, and to add to it,
'Mighty' needs a lot of tender loving
care and medical attention.

ATTENTION!
RERSI rescued three nurse mare
foals, on March 21st. 2008.
Below are the photos of the foals!
They are all between four and ten days
old!
Mighty will finally have some friends
his own age to play with.
Thanks to the Friends of Barbaro for
helping us raise money to save the third
foal!
We are in desperate need of extra baby
blankets, and baby halters of all sizes
for these precious foals! Any donations
of blankets, halters, or funds to
purchase
these items are greatly appreciated!
Please note, we will accept adoption
applications on these foals.
However, if an adoption is approved,
they must remain boarded at RERSI until
they
are at least six months old. This is for
their own health and safety.
