AVAILABLE HORSES We will accept ADOPTION APPLICATIONS in advance. You may also make an appointment to meet our horses that are not quite ready for adoption, so you can get a sense of how they interact. Please do not be discouraged if you see 'PENDING ADOPTION' under a desirable horse. If you are interested in an Under Contract horse, please still submit an Adoption Application. We will keep you application of file. If for some reason things don't work out, we will work our way down the list. PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR A SAMPLE OF OUR CONTRACT Adopting a rescued horse is a serious responsibility and not a decision that should be entered into lightly. Any horse, but especially a rescue, is a commitment that requires a significant amount of time, money, hard work, and love. The rewards are beyond words, but please consider this before making your decision. As always, RERSI is only a phone call or email away; to help with any questions or issues that may arise. At RERSI it is our policy to find the best matched homes for our horses. We offer a thirty day trial period, and are always willing (at any time) to accept our horses back into rescue if things do not work out. We realize that nothing is ever certain in life; and if an adopters situation changes and they are no longer able to care for one of our adopted horses for any reason, or if even perhaps the adopter and horse are not as well matched as previously thought, we welcome the horse back into rescue. We prefer that horses be returned to us so that we can try to find the best possible home for them. At RERSI we realize that an adopters situation and finances may change, and we have an open door policy for all of our rescued horses. Donations are always welcome to help care for our rescued horses. No donation is too small. Please mention that you would like to sponsor a particular rescue horse, and we will be happy to send updates and photographs of your chosen rescue.
